Carol Parks
Program and Communications Coordinator
Carol Parks (Caroline Felix Oliveira Parks, M.S.) is the Program and Communications Coordinator at Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS. She brings over a decade of experience in education, community engagement, and conservation research in both the U.S. and her native Brazil.
Carol holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Sustainable Agriculture from Iowa State University and completed advanced doctoral training in Geography at the University of Florida, along with a certificate in Tropical Conservation and Development. Her academic and fieldwork experiences have taken her from cornfields in Iowa to riverine villages in the Brazilian Amazon, with a focus on how people, place, and identity inform collaborative approaches to conservation and natural resource management.
Before joining WEBS, Carol managed food access and education programs in Tillamook County, leading hands-on learning opportunities, community outreach efforts, and grant-supported initiatives for youth and families.
She now calls Tillamook home, where she lives with her husband Devon, their son Joaquim, two dogs, and three cats—and loves exploring new trails and being part of the local arts and theater scene, whether in the audience or on stage.
