Nat Macías grew up in Central California, where she developed a deep love for the outdoors. As a university student, Nat worked as a camp counselor and riding instructor in Northern California, teaching a wide range of activities, from horseback riding and vaulting lessons to fishing and canoeing at local lakes.

Currently, Nat serves as the Open Campus and Juntos coordinator for OSU Extension in Tillamook County. In this role, she works closely with students both within schools as a club facilitator and advisor, and outside through the Juntos Afuera program. This program is specifically designed for Latinx high school students, aiming to

Create positive outdoor experiences

Build a community of outdoor stewards

Foster connections to their Latinx culture.

In her free time, Nat enjoys exploring the coast with her partner and two dogs.
